DMT – The Awakening Art Gala

Proudly introducing the event of the year that you have all been waiting for! Asaph Maurer, in partnership with Amanda Gellman, president of the Windsor Center for Film, Digital Media & the Creative Arts as well as the new downtown Media Arts Community Center & Museum, present an arts special event unlike any other.
DMT The Awakening – In Windsor will be a celebration of art, photography, sculpture and performance art, all wrapped in a lavish evening filled with unique live performances, live music and live art, food and drink. Together, we will introduce the public to the new vision for the property, formerly the location of the Downtown Mission, which is being fully repurposed and revitalized as a hub that will focus on growing talent and jobs in the region.
We will exhibit stunning existing and new works for your viewing pleasure. Expect approx 200 pieces of visual art from Windsor and our three big-city neighbors, along with an extensive lineup of Windsor’s best live musical and performance artists such as Christian Vegh, Gerkone, Kat Valentine, and others TBA right here providing a full evening of entertainment, dance and some unexpected unique performances throughout the night headed up by our Director of Entertainment Alexis Baksi.
Most artworks will be available for sale. Visual artists will run the gamut from experienced professional artists to emerging talent in our local community.
Get ready to enjoy for the very first time in Windsor multiple experience rooms at the Gala including The Dark Room in which a special collection of dark artworks and an inaugural presentation of a collection of memorabilia from the Children of God cult will be shown.
Included in the evening will be a mind-bending LightForm show by Jesse Reimer, who is heading up the AR/VR art component. You will have the opportunity to experience the Augmented Reality of Artivive and be able to try an immersive art session provided by LA based immersive art visionary Dan Ginzburg.
There will be unique and varied offerings for food and beverage including On a Roll Sushi and Sliders, Suga and others TBA
50% of all ticket sales will be going towards the completion of the Film Center. Your ticket includes access to all entertainment, art and experience rooms and food and there will be cash bars.
This Gala evening is a time to dress up and spend the night out for an evening you won’t forget. Dress code is formal or artsy. Suggested color theme is Neon. Walk the red carpet and get ready to be blown away. We can’t wait to see you then!!
